Braxiatel's Inbox

Irving Braxiatel. Terribly sorry, but I am far too busy to answer the phone just now, but please do leave a message. Don't reverse the charges. Thank you.

Action - Day 356

[ At that she suddenly finds herself struggling to suppress a grin of amusement. Braxiatel? A hugger? She couldn't possible picture that with a straight face. ]

In any case... Trey --that was what she went by-- and I had worked together to reconstruct Gallifrey.

[ That had backfired in the end, when a miscalculation on her part had resulted in the deaths of a visiting ambassador when she had opened Gallifrey to the Temporal Powers. She explained this to Braxiatel and how that led to her, originally, being banished from home. It was not until she realized how so many things seemed amiss did she return to the Citadel.

From there things only went rom bad to worse as the transduction barrier was collapsing in on itself, threatening to destroy Gallifrey.
] --I tried to close the Eye of Harmony. I was the only one who could do it. But just as I had believed I was going to die, I found myself suddenly transported and back in what I would later come to learn as the one, true Gallifrey.

And it was all thanks to K9.

Yes. Well K9 and myself. But that comes later.

[ There was another pause as she realized what she was about to say. ] But... before I go any further, there is something you do need to know. It's about the Dogma Virus. Free Time wasn't responsible for the creation of it.

It was the Daleks.

Well, then I have saved you a whole lot of trouble in looking.

But we had not found this out until after another task force of them invaded Gallifrey through the Matrix. [ If there were ever a time she could be a Time Lord again and simply use contact to relay all of this to Braxiatel that way, it would be now. ]

Mhmm. To make a very long story short, the Daleks had an agent on the inside that was able to use the Matrix collapsing in as a ploy to get the Daleks through to Gallifrey.

[ She explained that the stability of the Matrix was failing and the quarantined Dogma victims were lose once more. In the end, with the bio data and a successful rebooting of the Matrix, they were not only able to restore the Matrix to full power, but cure the Time Lords of the Dogma Virus entirely when their bio data was rewritten with the back up. ]

But with all of Gallifrey unconscious while their bio data was updated, the Daleks were able to attempt yet another invasion on our home.

[ She shook her head. ] Everyone woke up on their own.

Between Trey and an avatar of myself in the Matrix, we were able to trap the Daleks within the recreated Gallifrey within the Matrix. The attack group and my two selves ate now forever sealed within that Gallifrey, never to escape.

[ It was a clever bluff too, if she could say so herself. ] Both were projections created by the Matrix. As far as I know, that me of the future should be fine.

[ Again she found herself smiling a little. Admittedly, it was a relief to have someone else know what has been happening. ]

At least now Gallifrey is safe again. [ And her gaze followed to see where he was pointing to, spotting the shop, and nodding once in acknowledgment of it. ] Even if I'm no longer there, I can be grateful for at least that much.

[ She sat down after she removed her coat and draped it over the back of her seat. Fingers lacing together she rested her hands on top of the table. ] I haven't had the chance to explore the other districts yet but I will be sure to keep this shop in mind in the future.

There are? I haven't come across them yet. [ She pauses as a memory comes to mind. ] Tell me there isn't a copy of the The Worshipful and Ancient Law of Gallifrey here. We nearly had a catastrophe on our hands the last time it left the Panopticon.

Fair point. [ It still doesn't seem to be a good idea to have books from Gallifrey on a world that isn't, but that's going to be something she'll have to ask the Doctor about. ] Other than books, has anything else from our home shown up here?

Then I know who to turn to should I need a drink. [ It was a feeble attempt at a joke, but at least it was a try. ] And I haven't been to a festival in ages.
