[The Doctor looks... apprehensive is perhaps the best word to describe it. But he's doing his best to cover it up with a cheerful expression.]

Hello! I was calling because I thought... well, you've no doubt seen it already, there's some sort of village outside the city. I, along with some of my other selves and friends, are going--I'm not exactly sure who, but I thought perhaps...

[Oh this is going so well. He really needs to get to the point.]

Would you like to come? It might be interesting, and it's a chance to see something new, for a change.

[Irving looks suspicious of being hurt again but he sighs.] I suppose it... might be interesting. If you don't mind me going, then I shall.

Oh no, not at all! [He says it a little too fast, relieved that his brother is agreeing to come so easily.] I would be very... pleased if you came, Brax. I'm quite sure everyone else will be, as well.

[He relaxes minutely, given that his acquiescence hadn't been rejected. In retrospect a paranoid reaction, but he forgives himself it, just this once.] Where and when shall we meet?

I was planning to leave tomorrow, in the morning sometime... say mid-morning. I'm not quite sure who else is coming at this point, as I said, but you're more than welcome to come along with Ril and myself. We could meet... outside the house where we both stay? The one with the likeness of my TARDIS painted on the doors.

[And who knows, he might actually apologize properly during the course of this thing.]

[ Their exchange from yesterday had been weighing on her mind and made it difficult for her to sleep that night. Which was why eventually convinced herself to try reaching out to him the next day. ]

Braxiatel. When you get this message, please, contact me back. I... [ She hesitates for a moment as she tries to find the right words. ] I want to talk to you about yesterday.

Voice - Day 356

[The impulse to not answer crossed his mind but didn't make him hesitate (he'd never allow himself to be that childish). It also crosses his mind to sneer 'Madam President' at her, but the fact that she is president means far too much to him for that. He's too proud of her.]

[Relatively neutral, considering, though that's a sign of not-quite-right.]

[ He responded so that was a start. ]

About what was said, I can't take it back. And I realize some of it was out of line. It wasn't my intention to try and bring about a form government to Asgard. The last thing anyone would want is to see that here. [ She pauses to take a small breath, as if collecting her thoughts. ] But, that is what it sounded like. I know. And I am sorry for making it sound like I was belittling both you and the Doctors. With all that has come to pass, nearly loosing our home yet again before arriving here, I only want to do what I can to look after all of us. If I am never to return home then I want to be sure that I can do all that I can to avoid anything that might happen to lose someone I hold dear.

Even though I have completely messed all of that up of course. [ The sudden bitterness in her tone was aimed at herself. Having so narrowly avoided losing Gallifrey to the Daleks and the slow recovery from the Dogma Virus has made her painfully aware of how easily it could be to lose anymore friends. ]

[He's quiet, but only so he can listen and consider.] We all want to protect each other. But equally... equally we have to understand that you, me, the Doctors and his TARDIS are extraordinarily capable individuals. Old hands at catastrophes as much as it's painful to acknowledge, because such expertise always comes at a price.

I don't like losing people either. And I don't like being torn away from Gallifrey. [The next sentence is almost wry.] Though it's starting to feel redundant at this point.

[And other pause as he struggles for words.] I'm no stranger to messing it up either.

[ She let out a small sigh as she shook her head, even though this was not a video conference. ]

For however much we want to go home, it would appear that we are denied the chance just as much.

I suppose that... no matter how old you get, you're never too old to make a fool of yourself.

But, on the other hand, that does mean that even old dogs learn new tricks.

Romana… we should meet. It's a little uncomfortable in the houses, but possibly the theatre in Freyr? Or somewhere?

That it does. Which is good since K9 is always needing new programs installed and he is certainly old.

[ There was a faint note of amusement in her voice then but it was gone when she continued. ]

The theatre in Freyr? I believe I can find my way there.

[He smiles at the memory of K9.]

I shall meet you there, then.

[And he goes, dressed impeccably in a blue suit and warm coat made of heavy wool. When he sees Romana, he smiles and beckons her over.]

[ It was easy enough to find her way to the theatre. Though she was still learning her way around it wouldn't be long before she had all of Asgard memorized.

When she spotted Braxiatel, Romana hurried along to catch up to him. She was wrapped up in a red coat to keep herself warm, dressed in a white blouse and tan ankle length skirt beneath it. ]

[He's a little thoughtful, but in much better form as he opens the door for her and beckons her inside.] It's unused of late. [He's a touch regretful about it.]

[ To see him what she hoped to be better spirits helped to relax her some. She wasn't sure what to expect but she still found this favorable to communications between them cut off entirely.

Nodding her head in thanks when he opened the door for her, she stepped through the doorway. ]

I take it there isn't much of an appreciation for the arts here then?

[He closed the door behind them to keep the cold out and walks alongside Romana, just exploring.]

Actually, there has been interest. [He responded amiably, sounding surprised, having figured a similar explanation.] It seems rather there's been too much distraction to actually get it going.

Oh? [ Her hands find their place in the pockets of her coat to keep them warm. ] I had heard of events coming to pass recently so that is understandable. Have there been any mentions of plans for the future then?

[ It was an impressive theatre. Though her eyes wandered, taking in the sights and details, her attention was on their conversation. ] What about yourself? I would imagine that you must have at least a few ideas of what to do here.

An idea or two, perhaps. [He shrugs.] It would be nice to get it actually going. An outlet.

An outlet. [ She repeated these words to herself in a lower voice. Being on Asgard had suddenly freed up her time with Presidential duties waiting for her on Gallifrey. ] Perhaps I should try looking for an outlet myself. Or at least something to help pass the time.
